Fun & Educational Activities for GV Students

FAQ

Here are some questions you might like to ask about Events and Activities at Global Village Vancouver.

How do I register for an event?

See Simon at the Yaletown Campus or Bryan at the Gastown Campus to register your name, make payment (if there is one), and get details about the event.

How much do the events cost?

Prices range from FREE for some after school events to CA$300+ for some weekend trips.

Can I use a card to pay?

Yes, you can use a Visa card, MasterCard, or debit card to pay for an event. GV however does not accept American Express or Maestro cards.

Do the Yaletown and Gastown students go together on events?

Yes, they do.  Follow the meeting directions for the event and look forward to getting to know some students from the other campus.

I need to meet at the “other” campus. How do I get there?

The Yaletown Campus is located at 888 Cambie St. while the Gastown Campus is found at 220 Cambie St. The walk between the two campuses is straight down Cambie St. takes about fifteen minutes. We typically meet in front of the buildings.

I’d like to get some advice about planning my own trip or event. Is this available?

Yes, of course. Simon and Bryan are available to help you with simple plans for sightseeing around Vancouver, or for longer trips on weekends or after you finish school.

How can I find out what’s happening around Vancouver?

Pick up a free copy of Vancouver’s entertainment guide, The Georgia Straight, (available at both campuses) or check out www.tourismvancouver.com for ideas for things to do around the city.

Can I borrow some sporting goods from the school?

Visit the Yaletown Campus and speak to Simon if you’d like to borrow items like soccer balls, tennis racquets, volleyballs, and basketballs. For ski trips, we even have some ski wear available. The cost? Free.
